Bloodwise Thames Bridges Trek 2019 · 7 September 2019 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

In September this year we will be taking on the Thames Bridges Challenge in aid of Bloodwise with a team of friends. It's a 25km trek crossing 16 bridges of the Thames from Putney to Tower Bridge.  We would be very grateful for any donations towards this amazing charity which funds life saving research and promotes the cause of blood cancer patients across the UK.

Those of you who know Jane may know that she was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in 2014 and spent 3 years battling the disease and the after effects of gruelling treatment.  She was given a just a 15% chance of survival and research funded by blood cancer charity,  Bloodwise, led directly to her survival.

And... If you can't spare any money, then perhaps you could spare some stem cells ? You can register to be a stem cell donor at DKMS. It's as easy as donating blood and it could save someone's life. Everything you need to know is here:   https://www.dkms.org.uk/en/register-now

Thanks very much
