50% of the money we raise will go towards two key projects at Wimborne St Johns Church & Church Centre: The relighting project and the kitchen refurbishment. The other 50% will go to the Dorset Historic Churches Trust for distribution to other selected projects.  

Ride + Stride is an annual event during which our supporters raise money for DHCT and for their own church by riding a bike or a horse or walking along the lanes and byways of Dorset to any number of our historic and interesting churches. DHCT uses half the money raised (£84,632 in 2019) to fund vital repairs to roofs and windows while the other half is returned to nominated churches to help with their own maintenance. We also grant aid the provision of facilities such as kitchenettes and lavatories so that our churches are more usable throughout the week for community activities. When donating, please specify first the village or town and then the name of your church so we can be sure that your sponsorship is credited to your nominated church.
