The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

It is now one year since the first refugee family moved into
Hampshire, and more families have begun to arrive and live within our Diocesan community since then. Bishop Tim has been keeping in touch with Hampshire County Council, who are supporting refugees now living within our Diocese. This work is being assisted by the British Red Cross, which is providing a range of different services including legal and language supports, in additional to practical support in the form of food and clothing where needed. The Bishop’s Christmas Appeal aims to raise funds to support this vital work.
