Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

We are Dan and Isaac, a father and son on a mission to cycle 751 km from Winchester to Glasgow, to support the health of our lakes, rivers, seas and natural ecosystems.

Our natural environment is under sustained threat from humans: climate change, shareholder profits, corrupt politicians, industry lobbyists, pesticides, intensive agriculture... Surfers Against Sewage is fighting to protect our waterways, vital for our natural ecosystems and human physical and mental health.

We will set off on 31st August and hope to arrive in Glasgow on the 6th Sept, travelling 751 km through spectacular scenery, as well as inevitably through ecosystems under stress and attack. Join us on our journey!
