Story

***EDIT***  I've extended this page slightly, as otherwise I'd lose the ability to have email contacts available. But the draw is happening today (11th December, around 11am) so any further donations won't be in with a chance of winning, though would still be gratefully received! ***

What better way to warm up this winter?  A chance to win this beautiful hand-made quilt (minimum donation of £4) AND warm the cockles of your heart by supporting Martin House Hospice's wonderful work.

When Pudding was diagnosed with a life-limiting condition I thought I'd never smile again. I avoided visiting Martin House for so long as I associated hospices with death and misery and I just didn't want to face that. When I finally accepted how much I needed the help that they offer, I got in touch. From the very first phone-call their support was like a warm hug. For us, they have brought love, life and laughter to even the darkest of days.

The hospice's ability to raise the money needed for their care services is suffering. Many of their planned fundraising events have been cancelled and there is a huge income gap to fill. Martin House families like ourselves describe the services of the hospice as a 'lifeline' and your donation can make all the difference.

I am raising money through a sale of one hundred squares - though hexagons would be more appropriate! Any donation of at least £4 will earn you a square. (If you want two squares, please make two donations). If you would like a particular number please let me know, and I'll try to give you that one if it's available. Otherwise numbers will be allocated in order.

Pudding will pick a random number in December, or earlier if all numbers go, and the winner will receive this fabulous quilt, very kindly made by my aunt. I will pay postage costs within the UK, or deliver locally. (Any winner from overseas would need to cover the extra postage costs.)

*When donating please remember to choose the option that will allow me to contact you! If I am unable to contact the winner, another number will be drawn.*
