Wirral Dragon Boat Race Festival · 7 July 2018

We provide support services, information to people with an acquired brain injury, their relatives and carers. We help brain injured people regain some quality of life through a wide range of services including carer support, social integration and rehabilitation programmes.

Story

Headway Wirral is a local charity that works to improve life after brain injury.

Through a range of frontline services, it provides support, services, and information to brain injury survivors, their relatives, and carers.  They work closely with health and legal professionals and provide guidance on such matters as social services and financial support. A brain injury can have devastating consequences for individuals and their families, affecting every aspect of life. Although we all think 'it'll never happen to me', a brain injury can affect anyone at any time. When it does, Headway is here to help.

Wirral Dragon Boat Festival involves a number of teams, including a range of businesses, public sector bodies and groups of friends coming together to compete for the Headway Trophy. This year is Headway's 30th anniversary so we will be celebrating with a Paddle anniversary party after the race!
