Story
How you can help: Due to the growing number of student teams wanting to participate in Mock Trial – especially those needing a little help to cover the admission fee – we’re holding an online Un-Bake Sale. All you “knead” to do is donate the dollars you would’ve spent on a sweet treat at a traditional bake sale – no extra calories required! (Your waistline will thank you.)
The icing on the cake is that for every dollar donated, up to $500 will be matched dollar-to-dollar thanks to the generosity of seven State Bar of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Law Foundation leaders.
All Un-Bake Sale proceeds are tax deductible and go to the Wisconsin Law Foundation's Mock Trial Fund.
Every little “bite” helps. Thank you for supporting the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Tournament!
How your donation will be used: The money raised will keep the program’s fees low and allow more teams to participate at the local, regional, and state competitions. Proceeds will help offset:
- Team registration costs
- Costs of sending the winning Wisconsin team to the national
competition - Expenses for the Mock Trial Tournament Semifinals Awards
Banquet - Costs of awards and other materials (like scoresheets)
What is Mock Trial? Since 1983, Mock Trial has helped more than 30,000 Wisconsin students develop problem solving, public speaking, and teamwork skills by introducing them to the American legal system. Mock Trial gives students the opportunity to analyze and prepare a legal case using facts and materials developed by Wisconsin lawyers, and then present it in front of actual judges and attorneys.
