I have chosen to walk/run 100 Miles over August to fundraise for The Wisteria Cat Rescue and support the great work they have been doing to help abandoned and suffering cats all over Kent.

After losing my cat unexpectedly last year, I was heartbroken. Alfie passed away at the end of October 2021 with a rare liver condition which had gone undetected. I took him into the vets for a check up as he hadn't been eating (and he loved his food!) where they told me he had to be rushed into emergency surgery. Upon opening him up they identified there was bleed on the liver, as well as a serious heart condition. I was told he would be lucky to make it through the surgery, and unfortunately he passed away about 2 hours later. He was my best friend and cuddle buddy, and the house is a lot quieter now without him around. Anybody that knows me well jests that I am ‘a crazy cat lady’ which is why I am so keen to support a local cat charity and help other cats just like Alfie that may be able to be saved in time.

Wisteria Cat Rescue

Wisteria Cat Rescue provides care to feral and stray cats that are in danger or in critical conditions by ensuring that they get the veterinary care and support they need. Once treated and back to full health, Wisteria helps the cats to find them their new forever home.

When I came across the Wisteria Cat Rescue on Facebook, I was so moved by the work they do, and how each and every post they shared was so heartfelt and caring. They really do the best they can to improve the lives of these animals. As a small charity with limited funds, they need all the support they can get and are incredibly grateful for any donations or contributions.

The #S7100 Campaign

As an agency, Search Seven pledges to donate 7% of it's profits to charity every year via fundraising and donations, and each team member can support a cause that is close to their heart. For me, The Wisteria Cat Rescue resembles just that, after all the incredible support they provided to many cats across Kent.

Following on from the success of our recent #Share77k campaign, where we raised an incredible £77,000 for our chosen charities, we have now set our sights on the big £100,000 and as part of the #S7100 Charity Campaign, funds donated to this page would be matched up to £150 by Search Seven, with the overall goal of raising £300. This will go directly to the Wisteria Cat Rescue and contribute to the fantastic work they are doing.

As part of my fundraising, I will be meeting up with the rest of the S7 team to walk the London Landmarks half marathon.
