Fundraising for Cancer Research UK
Story
On 23 August a team of lawyers and other staff from Withers LLP will row in shifts for 24 hours for #Row24. We are racing one man, Paul 'Beowulf' Buchanan, and trying to spur him on to breaking the World Record for an individual 24 hour row.
More importantly, we are also trying to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. Many of us at Withers have already had our lives affected by cancer, and will be rowing in memory of, or in support of, loved ones who have struggled with and continue to struggle with this disease. There remains much work to be done. Cancer Research UK aims to save millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.
In the 24 hours that we will row on 23 August, over 700 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer.
