Story

On the week of 14 October 2019, Wealth Management will be the first to host a Global Fundraising Week to raise money for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, our Bank's new global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people in our communities. On this day, WM markets will rally together to host fundraising activities in country for this important cause.

Dare Didier, Jean and your Regional Heads!

Our Global Head of Private Banking & Wealth Management, Didier von Daeniken, COO Jean Nabaa, and each of our WM Regional Heads have agreed to take part in a Game of Dares.

If we raise USD 25k globally:

  • Sumeet Bhambri will wear a Hawaiian shirt to work!
  • Lay Choo Ong will wear a pink outfit to work!
  • Gautam Duggal will wear the UAE national dress to work!

BONUS

If we hit our target and raise USD 30k globally....

  • Didier von Daeniken will wear JEANS to work! AND
  • Jean Nabaa will dress as a COWBOY to work!

Those of you who know Didier know that he is never seen without his black suit. Donate to Futuremakers and dare Didier to loosen up and wear jeans to work!

Donate to Futuremakers and give Jean the opportunity to fulfil his childhood dream to become a cowboy! Complete with a lasso and weapon holster!

You do not want to miss this once-in-a-career opportunity! The deadline for donations is 18 October.

More on Futuremakers

The Standard Chartered Foundation focuses on tackling inequality by promoting greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people from low-income households, particularly girls and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to make a better future for themselves and their families. We fund programmes in the areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and eye health and are the lead partner in delivering the Futuremakers by Standard Chartered initiative.
