The Sparks Challenge Golf Day · 23 June 2014

Sparks raises money to fund pioneering child health research across the UK, helping to find new treatments and cures for children and families who desperately need them.

Story

Woods, Norman, Ballesteros, Faldo, Nicklaus, McLlory, Hill, Baker, Betts and Tweddell... famous golfing names that roll off the tongue

Stu, Mick, Bob & I are what can be described as 'keen' golfers, which usually means we walk a lot further than everyone else during a normal round of 18 holes

The old adage that 'it's called golf because all the other four letter words were taken' can be no more apparent than when we play...

However, in support of the great work that Sparks do in ensuring more babies are born healthy, we are taking on the incredibly daunting challenge of playing 72 holes in one day on the 23rd June

For those non-golfing friends and colleagues, this is a 'dawn till dusk' job

For those 'in the know' factor in a par 71 championship length parkland course of 6,465yds

Playing perfectly will mean we'll be walking in the region of around 14miles....and as we've already established, the four of us tend to meander around searching for our balls (so to speak), basically we're looking at a bit of a trek

So dig deep & support us in this very worthy cause - everyone who donates will be sent a picture of the four of us in fetching Pink Plus 4's (you may wish to donate more NOT to see that!)

Many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
