After nearly 15 lazy years I am about to re-start my running career. I decided to go for the Great North Run first and hopefully progressing later to longer runs.

I love the UK idea of charity runs. We did not have such a thing in Germany. Searching for a charity that I could sponsor I decided for the Children's Heart Federation. I have got a little niece who has had already several open heart surgeries. She is now 5 and she is doing well but I know the impact on her and her family.

I would be grateful if you could sponsor me an give £5 or £10 (or even more...) to the CHF for my run in Newcastle on 18th Sept 2011.
