WOLF PACK - GENEVA - SAN REMO
Entirely possibly the hardest non stop cycling challenge in the world.
We are all deeply moved by the suffering of children caught up in the refugee crisis, particularly in the war in Syria. Several of us are new Fathers, and we all found it totally heartbreaking to imagine the anguish of children caught up in this brutality.
We wanted to help. Rather than just do something difficult and ask people to sponsor us, we created Wolf Pack. A ride so ludicrously challenging that it will be a badge of honour for any rider to complete it, and brutally difficult enough to inspire people to generously support this urgent cause.
We are proud to ride for Save the Children, supporting their incredible work.
Wolf Pack is a dare. We will depart from Geneva just before dawn on Saturday August 12th, and roll down into the French Alps. We’ll head South, climbing some of the most iconic mountain passes in France along the way. As we near the coast we’ll take a left into Italy, and roll along by the sea into San Remo.
The challenge is to be in San Remo by Sunset on the Sunday.
That means we have to ride all night, over the high mountains.
The route is five hundred kilometres, and includes eleven thousand vertical metres of climbing, including ascents of the Col du Télégraphe, the monstrous Galibier, Vars, and Cime de la Bonette, the highest road in Europe.
For the non cyclist, that’s roughly the equivalent of three hard mountain days of the Tour de France, in a single ride, without sleeping. It's considerably more climbing than Mount Everest.
We did say it was difficult.

If you're able to sponsor us we would be tremendously grateful. You'll be supporting vital work for children who desperately need your help.
If you want to join us on the road - do it! We'd love to have you in the Wolf Pack.
Thanks so much, Gareth, Mike, Danny, Seb and Jill.
