From 7 to 21 June 2015 a team from Wollaston BMW and MINI is taking on 900 miles cycling from the BMW HQ in Munich to Northampton to raise money for a life-saving plasma exchange machine costing c£30,000 to be installed at Northampton General Hospital.

The plasma exchange machine removes the abnormal antibody proteins which cause kidney damage. As this treatment is aimed at the cause of the kidney injury, rather than just the consequences, it can enable a patient's kidneys to recover in a way that cannot be achieved with dialysis alone and make a dramatic difference to patients' long-term health and quality of life.
