You can support the team as a whole by donating here or you can support an individual who will be making there own pages and sharing them with their friends and family. The Walk is a huge undertaking. We plan to walk out to the source of the Water of Leith, then follow the river, from its highest spring, all the way to Leith, a route approx 28 miles long. The first 16 miles or so has no path and is uncharted, largely heath, bog and farmland!! As it will take a long time to cross this terrain we plan to start at 6.00am on the longest day, giving us the maximum daylight to complete the route. Participants will need to be fit and have good stamina but the team so far is not made up of marathon runners or Iron men / women, just people who want to train for something very challenging and worth while - including me (Helen Brown) who has not done a long distance walk in nearly 20 years - crickey!!
