As a company that works with a number of charities, Wood for Trees aims to undertake at least one fundraising event each year. This time around we have decided to raise money for Amnesty International, one of the world's leading human rights charities. Amnesty aims to protect people wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

The event we have chosen for this year is the London Triathlon. Taking place on September 22nd 2012, this event attracts over 13,000 people each year to swim, cycle and run in the world's largest triathlon at London's Royal Victoria Dock. Wood for Trees will be entering three teams into the Olympic Relay, consisting of a 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run. The teams are:
Team Wood: Clare "Cross Channel" Cooper (swim); Jon "Eyes" Kelly (bike); Andy "Leggy" Lamb (run)
Team Phwoar: Jim "Merckx" Baggett (swim); Steve "Powered by Apple" Carter (cycle); Andrew "Low Slung" Sargent (run)
Team Trees: Lesley "The Fish" Duncan (swim); Matthew "Fix It" Tamea (cycle); Andrew "Forrest" Lockett (run)
