The Mayflower Sanctuary based in Doncaster does amazing work taking care of abandoned and unwanted animals, home and abroad, when nobody else will.

The staff work tirelessly and passionately to do all they can, but rely heavily on public support to stay open. 

They require £500 a day to maintain their excellent standard of care and continue to re-home pups that go on to improve the everyday lives, as well as mental and physical well-being of pet owners everywhere. 

I've trained for 15 months to get into a position to be able to run a half marathon and hopefully raise a few quid to help the cause.
