Following our initial World 5k - COVID19 event on 18 April 2020, and so many lovely messages of a sense of belonging and community, while also demonstrating that it is possible to exercise in any sized home, we have been inspired to set-up a weekly World 5k.
Please join us every Saturday starting from 12-mid-day around the world as we attempt to get the whole World running.
To be as flexible as possible, if you are unable to start at 12 mid-day, you can start whenever you like as the whole world will be running throughout the day. Try to start on the hour (top of the hour), so you can start running with lots of like-minded people at the same time whenever and wherever you live in the world.
Don’t forget, you can share your progress and join in the global conversation using #World5k on Strava and across all social media.
How you choose to complete your World 5k is entirely up to you. You can jog on the spot, run laps around the garden, step up and down in your living room, up and down stairs or even use a mini-trampoline (6000 bounces should do it).
All we ask is that you take part at home and go at your own pace and at your own risk.
