I’m using this opportunity to try to raise awareness about, and money for, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Leukemia is the most common cancer in children and teens, accounting for nearly one-in-three cases. However, after diagnosis and treatment, many people with leukemia live many good, quality years.
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Please consider a donation to LLS so they can continue to provide patient support and education and fund research to improve outcomes for all blood cancer patients. You can donate using the button at the top of this page or on their website directly.
Whether you donate or not, please follow along as the race progresses.
I will do my best to post photos and updates to a Twitter account: @markangushamlin
Thanks
Mark
