Story
On December 7th 2019, we will sleep out on a freezing cold night as part of the World's Big Sleepout campaign. The decision to cut social housing spending by 72% between 2008 and 2012 (€1.38bn to €390m), along with a number of other factors means that today over 10,000 people are currently homeless in Dublin - and that is only the official figure released; there are many others unaccounted for, the 'hidden homeless'. In even more shocking figures, over 3,000 of the official homeless count are children.
