Living with mental health problems can be life changing, but we believe that with the right support extraordinary things can happen. At Heads On we do everything we can to make life better for people who come to Sussex Partnership for help when they're having a tough time. Thank you for helping us.

Story

We are planning a 12 hour charity Netballathon on the final day of Mental Health Awareness Week, 15th May 2022.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness week this year is loneliness, which sadly, is a growing problem in the UK. Now more than ever it is so important to come together as a community and support those that are struggling with their mental health and are in need of support.

Through this sport, hundreds of women in our community have come together and supported one another through various personal challenges. For many of us, when we step on the court, our stresses and pressures are forgotten for an hour and it is a valued and necessary form of self-care and connection with others.
Many people in our community do not have the luxury of space from their own external and internal difficulties and require support from charities such as "Heads on".

Heads on is our NHS Foundation trust charity, working closely with our under resourced CMHT and CAMHS teams. This is why we have selected to raise money for this charity. Please find a link to their website: Home | Headson - Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Charity (headsoncharity.org)
