WRC Recycling's Charity Glasswalk

WRC Recycling Inchinnan is raising money for St Vincents Hospice

Charity Glasswalk · 26 October 2022

St Vincent's Hospice is a charitable organisation at the heart of the community, offering specialised care and services to all those affected by life-limiting illness.

Story

WRC Recycling has committed to supporting St Vincent's Hospice by taking part in a Glass Walk that will help raise funds in support of the amazing care carried out by the entire team at St Vincent's.

Our local hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care for thousands of patients and families who have been affected by life-limiting conditions. Located in the outskirts of Howwood and serving all of Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire, the Hospice is committed to
providing compassionate care for all. This is carried out across four key services, an 8-bed in-patient unit, day hospice, community nurse specialists, and a patient and family support team.

Having witnessed first-hand the impact that the care carried out by the support team has on the patients at St Vincent's Hospice, WRC will be taking part in a 'Glass Walk' on the 26th of October to help fundraise for the operational costs of the Hospice, which currently stands at £6,000 per day. Since the pandemic, the hospice has felt the detrimental effects of cancelled fundraising events that were vital in raising cash for the purchase of new beds, baths, and other furnishings that will enhance patient care. Members of the team at WRC will walk across a trail of broken glass at our offices in Inchinnan, and we would like to welcome the local Renfrewshire community to join us in raising funds to support our local hospice.
