Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After listening to my children (7 years, 4 years and 2 years) moan again about what they were eating for dinner, we decided to show them a short clip of children living in a town (Madaya) under siege in Syria, where reportedly food has run out and some children haven't eaten for 7 days. After seeing the images, they decided they would like to help, so we suggested a family walk to raise money for the UNICEF Syria Winter Appeal. Any donation which you could make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you xx
Unicef Syria Winter Appeal 2015/2016
Syria continues to be one of the most dangerous places on Earth to be a child. Over 14 million
Syrian children have been affected by the conflict, which is now in its fifth year. Unicef is one of the few organisations working inside Syria, as well as delivering humanitarian aid across the region. Our teams are working around the clock to provide life-saving food, clean water, health care and psychological support to children whose lives have been devastated by the conflict.
Help Unicef raise even more to support children affected by the conflict in Syria this winter by maximising your fundraising during the period 29 October 2015 and 30 January 2016.
The UK government will match fund pound for pound all fundraising made to the Syria Winter appeal between these dates enabling Unicef to do so much more through your fundraising.
Thank you for supporting our work with the children of Syria.
