Story
I was never going to share what Ayda went though but I think to raise awareness & fundraising I’ll explain. At Ayda’s health check when she was 6 weeks old she was diagnosed with a ‘innocent murmur’ we later went for scans when she was 3 months old when they discovered a small hole but this hole was located on her aorta valve and was pulling in 1/3 of her valves & causing blood to leak, fibrous tissue growing and a bridge of skin that shouldn’t have been there. They continued to monitor her with scans and decided the way forward to stop any further damage would be open heart surgery. On 20/04/22 our brave Ayda had open heart surgery to close the hole. This will not be her only surgery & we want to help by fundraising any way we can as we cannot thank Bristol Children’s hospital enough for doing this surgery and proving excellent care for our daughter and supporting us as well. I cannot explain our hosital visit as it was emotional and hard to think back on. But the staff are excellent. Any donations would be appreciated or even if anyone wants to participate and join wrong trouser day on 1st July.Thank you for reading.
