As a class, the Wagtails would like to help raise some funds for the school PTA during these difficult times. With the school being shut many normal fundraising events have not and will not take place, like cake sales, summer ball etc. 

So as a group they have set the challenge as a team to walk the distance from their school in Shamley Green to the Cenotaph in London in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the war and to celebrate VE Day.  The distance is roughly 37miles. 

Over half term, each child in yr 1 will walk just over 1 mile and the combined total distance of them all doing it will be 37miles. They will of course keep to all socially distancing rules and just walk with their families. 

We are very conscious of the current climate, so any donations will be greatly appreciated.
