Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online for the Path to Freedom India Trek.
The purpose of the trek is to raise up to £30,000 for CSW’s work on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide.
Twenty CSW supporters including myself are making the trip to India on the 13th October 2007 for two weeks.
Not only will we be walking the Nanda Devi Alpine Trek but we will also visit a Dalit school and an Indian church, where we will have the chance to meet local Christians and hear about their experiences firsthand.
This year marks the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in the UK and CSW will be focussing on the plight of the Dalits (formerly known as ‘untouchables’) in India, among whom are millions who suffer modern forms of slavery. They are obstructed from leaving the caste system and the exploitation it brings, including through violent opposition to religious conversions. CSW will be campaigning for true religious freedom and an end to caste-based oppression and discrimination.
Please see the CSW website for more information on the plight of the Dalit people and for more information about the trek.
Also see www.myspace.com/commnurse to see how I'm shaping up for the trek.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Solidarity Worldwide will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
