We’re running The Family Marathon because we believe that all children need families, never orphanages. As a team, we’ll each take on part of the challenge to run a marathon distance between us; running as many one-mile loops as our legs will allow, until together we conquer 26.2 miles.

We’re doing this because family is important and we want to celebrate the power of family by running together. Hope and Homes for Children work across the globe to find loving family homes for children who would otherwise grow up in an orphanage, denied the love, care and protection that is so vital to us all.

By raising just £1,200 we could help free a child from the confines of an orphanage and place them into a loving family. Please help us reach this target so we can help at least one child in urgent need of the love and protection only a family can provide.

Every child deserves this and that's why we're in it for the long-run, until the day all children grow up in families, never orphanages.
