Story

Update (18-07-2019):

Today last week, I left my house at 4:30 am to embark on the biggest wheelpower challenge so far. The route that we took was hilly but very quite. I drove and Leeroy was on his bike to Moreton-in-Marsh where we stopped for breakfast and 2 hour charged up at a very nice cafe. Then we drove straight to Banbury and got there at 4:30 pm and then at the hotel at 4:55 pm where I met the chairman of the Northampton Remap for a chat. Day 1 was exciting, tiring and scary, with my new battery management system I was able to do the mileage and more. So thanks again to Remap. Day 2, we left the hotel at 12:30 pm and got to Silverstone at 3:15 pm. It was a straight run mainly going along back roads. One of my memorable expreriences of this challenge is going through a field full of sheep. LOL. This challenge was great from start to finish. Roll on to the next one! Thank you to those who have donated via this page and me personally. I really do appreciate it and the charity Remap.

Hello,
I'm Adam. I'm 36 and I have cerebral palsy,
.I am a full time powered wheelchair user.

On the 11th of july driving my wheelchair from Cheltenham to Northampton Silverstone over 60miles for Remap charity.

For the past 2 years I've been raising money for a new powered chair
through completing a series of wheelchair marathon challenges
(wheel power challenges) where I have driven my wheelchair from city to city.
Previous destinations have included London following the London Marathon route, and from my home in Cheltenham to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and Birmingham to Manchester following the national cycle routes.

as well as campaigning e.g Google Maps to be more wheelchair more
accessible now that i have raised all the money for my chair.

I am now fundraising for the charity Remap. Remap specializes in
custom-making equipment to help disabled people live more independent lives. They are building me a backup battery system to be able to do more challenges and with a longer battery i can cover more ground to
fundraise.

Fundraising for Remap because they spend their free time making
things for disabled people/people with limited mobility to enable us to
live and feel life to put our ideas in motion to be A reality.

I greatly appreciate Remap supporting me  I feel very honoured to be able to fundraise for them in my next and future wheel power challenges.
