The Oxford Oratory is a vibrant centre of Catholic life, attracting people of all ages and from every walk of life. We use beauty to raise hearts and minds to God, faithful to the traditions of St Philip Neri and St John Henry Newman. Our church is the centre of Catholic life in the city Oxford.

Story

We are taking a pilgrimage to Madrid for World Youth Day in August 2011, to join thousands of other young people and the Holy Father. World Youth Days have become an important part of the life of the Church and have a huge effect on those who participate in them.

We will be going to Barcelona the week before to take part in the "Days in the Dioceses" and afterwards to Avila, in the footsteps of St Teresa.

Each of the young people coming is being asked to raise £600 themselves, and then we are trying to make up the remaining funds from sponsorship. They will be working hard with fundraising, so please be generous in supporting this project.

"The Church is young. The Church is alive!" "What God wants above all for you is that you should become saints" Pope Benedict XVI
