Wye Valley Motorcycle club £250 bike challenge · 25 July 2015

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 21st May 2013, several members of our motorbike club were involved in a major RTC. One of our members was airlifted to hospital and as a thank you to the medical staff that looked after us all on the side of the road, we are doing this challenge as our way of giving something back.

The challenge we are doing consists of purchasing a motorbike up to the cost of £250 and making it fit for the road. On  25th  of July, we will be riding to New Quay, Wales, stopping at various locations on route to rattle our tins and buckets. After an overnight camp, we will continue our journey riding to Aberdare races  where we will do a lap or so of the track. This will complete our challenge and all motorbikes will then be sold to boost the money we raise.

We really appreciate having the air ambulance service but without charitable donations, they will not be able to run. All donations, no matter how small, will make a difference and be very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
