The OHCT gives grants to Oxfordshire churches of all Christian denominations for major fabric repairs (walls, roofs, floors and windows). Bells, organs, clocks, new toilets and kitchens may also get grants. The annual Ride and Stride is currently the biggest source of income for the OHCT.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year four of us cycled around 50 Oxfordshire churches and raised over £800. We were pretty pleased with that until we realised that All Saints need £86,000 for the roof appeal.

So, this year we're setting ourselves a bigger challenge:

We will set off from Lord's, The Home of Cricket and cycle through 70 miles of changing scenery to Wytham, Our Home of Village Cricket. Along the way we plan to visit 11 churches, but the big test will be getting ourselves over some steep climbs in the Chilterns.

The training plan is in place, and we'll try to keep you updated here.

We feel very lucky to get to enjoy the beautiful village of Wytham throughout the year. This is one way of us saying thank you to the people of Wytham.

We really appreciate the practical help from others too. We'll have our support vehicle with us, and we'll publish the route if you want to come and give us a wave. One thing is certain - we'll be ending up with a celebration in The White Hart.

We'd love to at least match last year's figure. But as we're putting in a lot more effort we'd appreciate sponsors putting in a bit more too.

So please, donate what you can to support our little bit of England.

Thank you
