Story
I'm completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it the most.
This service is essential to the island and they do an amazing job. They looked after my step-dad in 2004 and helped him remain comfortable. Without this many people will suffer unnecessarily. My mum now helps Mountbatten care for those in our community and I could not be prouder. If each person who needs help can be made to feel comfortable and happy then it is a job worth doing.
It’s only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support. Please help me by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
