Ben Nevis Mountain Challenge 2014 · 20 September 2014 ·
On Saturday 20th September 2014, Ricardo and I climbed Ben Nevis, to raise awareness - and a little bit of cash too! - for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
We were very lucky: it was a cool but sunny day. The atmosphere was great, there were dozens of other Marie Curie fundraisers climbing with us. It was a long and challenging walk, but eventually we made it to the (cloudy; and cold!) top. The views at the summit were not very rewarding, but on our way there we could enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. It made the day really special.

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides end of life nursing care, totally free of charge to patients with terminal illnesses, all across the country in their own homes or in hospices. The nurses provide invaluable hands-on care as well as emotional support to patients suffering from terminal illnesses - the kind of care that we hope we will never have to receive - or worse, see a loved one receive.
So please help us support their work by sponsoring us. Every £20 raised provides an hour of nursing care in a patient’s home, while £180 covers a night shift and £260 a two-day therapy session at a Marie Curie Hospice. Give as little or as much as you want…every donation will be very much appreciated J
Thank you so much for your support!

Don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK taxpayer. This entitles the charity to claim back the tax, which you have paid on the money you donate and is worth an extra 25%. So if we manage to raise our target of £250 (or a little bit more :-), this would mean an extra £62.5 for Marie Curie Cancer Care at no extra cost to you.
