We support people living with diabetes to help stay well until a cure is found

Story

Hi there, my name is Xavier, and my dad and I have decided to climb Kilimanjaro for a charity supporting diabetes because we wanted to challenge ourselves. This is something we have been training to and working towards for the last year, but finally fantasy has become reality. We have chosen to support diabetes as it is a rising disease and a major threat to our society today. We chose DWRF as a charity as they are not only supporting those with both type 1 and 2 diabetes, but also do further research into the disease. They are also raising awareness into peoples lifestyle and healthy eating so that they can prevent people from developing it. Here is what they have to say...

DRWF funds vital diabetes research to establish the causes; develop improved management and treatment options; and ultimately find a cure, we aim to ensure that people have access to the right information and support to develop a proactive self-care approach to successful self-management, to ensure that they are ’staying well until a cure is found....’

I hope that you can help us to reach and go past our goal so that we can raise awareness for diabetes and try to help those who have it.
