My name is Xavier and I am 14 years old.  Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have congenital heart disease, which means I've been ill with it since I was born - basically my heart did not develop correctly.  I have already had two heart surgeries, both at the Evelina, with another one on the way.  Without the team at the Evelina, I wouldn't be here today.  I want to give something back as a thank you, and to support the team in the good work that they do.

This fundraising is not just for me, as the hospital and the charity take care of many other children, and their families, who are dealing with this illness.  It can be tough.

I chose to do an abseil because I am not really able to do endurance or stamina-related activities.  However, as this for fundraising, I want to make sure I earn the money by taking on a difficult personal challenge.  I'd say 262 foot abseil definitely qualifies!

This is for a really good cause and I hope you can help me to raise at least £500 towards my chosen charity.  We'd all really appreciate it.
