We are at it again!!

This has got to be our ulimate challenge so far .... cycling 650 miles in just 9 days from our HQ in Redhill to Montpellier in the South of France.  The 2008 Y-Team is going to lead by example and hopefully all of us (and that includes a tandem!) will get to Montpellier in one piece (one sore piece, I should think!!) and raise some money for the YMCA's vital work in the community. 

The YMCA Fundraising Challenge Programme, now in its fifth year, was set up to raise money for YMCA projects in the community and last year, over £35,000 was raised to aid our work with local children with disability by providing play and leisure plus valuable respite for their families.

This year, we are hoping to exceed that amount to help projects such as Heads Together, the free and confidential counselling service for vulnerable young people.  This vital scheme employs 20 trained counsellors, many on a voluntary basis, to deliver 60 hours a week of high quality support for young people facing serious emotional difficulties.

So come on, reckon we can do it, well we are going to give it our best shot and anything you can donate will be warmly appreciated.
