Story
My childhood friend of 22 years was diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 9, and has been strongly fighting the late effects of cancer ever since. Over the past few years, she has had the wonderful support of Trekstock, a charity helping young people in their 20s and 30s who have had or have cancer. Trekstock gets them moving physically and socially, through and beyond cancer.
This charity has not only changed her life but so many others, and so this October I am participating in Trek for Trekstock where I will be trekking 20 miles to raise vital funds for the 34 young adults diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed life for everyone, but young adults living through and beyond cancer are among the hardest hit. Most are at increased risk and have spent months self-isolating, they're anxious about their treatment plans and feeling more alone than ever. That's why Trekstock's services are more vital than ever.
Your donation will ensure that they are supported during this crisis.
