Story
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, with ongoing conflict and blockades crippling essential services. Although a temporary ceasefire has been agreed, the healthcare system remains under immense strain, leaving thousands of pregnant women without access to safe birthing facilities, skilled medical professionals, or critical postnatal care. Many are forced to give birth in dangerous conditions, putting both mother and child at severe risk.
Islamic Relief UK has been a steadfast provider of emergency aid in Gaza for years, delivering life-saving support to the most vulnerable. This project is a vital response to the urgent maternal health crisis, ensuring that expectant mothers receive the medical care they need to give birth safely and recover with dignity.
