As some of you know, last summer I spent three weeks helping out at a couple of charities in Kenya. It was a brilliant experience but they are desperately limited in resources.  I am therefore doing a parachute jump on July 14th - so not too much longer now! The organisation I'm raising money for is 'Kenya Children Centres' which rescues orphan girls. 

There are over 2 million orphans in Kenya, including the third highest number of Aids orphans in the world.   Orphan girls are particularly vulnerable because they are seen to be more of a burden.  About 50,000 orphan girls have been abandoned without any means of support or schooling.  They suffer emotional and physical neglect, exploitation, abuse and possibly death. 

The Kenya Children Centres rescue girls from these desperate circumstances and provide them with food, shelter, education and health care.  It's a really brilliant cause but it relies heavily on donations, so anything you can give will be hugely appreciated.
