I have just been accepted as a volunteer for VESL which is a not-for-profit organisation that sends volunteers, like me, to rural places in India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand to teach English.

I will be planning and running activities to help both primary and secondary school age children and teachers learn and improve on their spoken English skills. I will also be running after school clubs which I hope to include sporting events or dance classes.

I will be living with a family in Chiang Rai in Thailand and may not have running water or electricity so I think I am entitled to say that this is not a holiday but a learning experience for myself and those that I will be helping within the country.

I really need your help to allow me to have this amazing experience, and as I have already stated this is a not-for-profit organisation so the money i raise will go towards teaching equipment, helping the community, and the family who will host my stay! This is a fantastic cause so please give generously.
