Story

One year ago I ran 7 marathon's in a month to support this amazing charity in memory of my father Karim Hussain.

This year and in memory I will be running a half marathon on Sunday 19th February (with a quicker time I hope!) I again would like to give back to the charity that is close to our hearts and something our beloved, my father and dear cousin would have been in support of greatly.

The Iraqi Association's IraqChild project was launched in 2007 to help alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable children in Iraq. A mobile clinic provides free medical treatment mainly in Baghdad's poorest neighbourhoods but has also traveled to other areas affected by conflict, whilst a Children's Educational Resource Centre in Baghdad's Al Thawra district offers supplementary educational support. The project relies on individual donations to continue its vital work, providing services which are often a lifeline to those it reaches.
