Come along to this 1 hour mass hula hoop challenge at Yate Shopping Centre....in aid of Cancer Research UK.

When: Saturday 7th November.

Times: Meet at 12 midday for a 12.30pm start.

Where: Meet us at area at the bottom of West Walk in front of the Leisure Centre (there will be signs directing you to the meeting place from the main entrance of Yate Shopping Centre). 

On arrival, we will be asking for a suggested donation of £5 and you will receive a free hula hoop!

You could also ask your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to sponsor you for this bonkers challenge! If 300 people joined us for Yate Gyrate, and each person raised £20 each, together we could raise an incredible £6000 towards ground-breaking research. Cancer Research UK receive no government funding and so their life-saving research is only possible thanks to people like you.

The Relay for Life Yate committee who are organising this hula hoop challenge also organise an annual 24 relay in aid of Cancer Research UK. The committee have organised this hula hoop challenge because it is a fun and unique activity for their local community and a great way to celebrate the launch of their 11th Relay for Life - happening in July 2016.

The committee and the local community have come together over the past 10 years and raised an incredible £314,000 for Cancer Research UK. Relay for Life is a celebration of all those who have survived cancer, it is also a special occasion to remember all our loved ones and to celebrate all the teams' fundraising achievements over the year.

On 4th - 5th July 2015, 23 teams spent 24 hours relaying around the track at Yate Outdoor Sports Centre, to signify that cancer never sleeps. There was entertainment for 24 hours, with stalls, live music, 24-hour DJ and exciting games and activities for everyone.
