Year 2 Charity Walk · 25 June 2022

We care for nature reserves and help local landowners to manage their land for wildlife. We fight to protect wildlife from developments and campaign for better protection of the natural environment. We inspire people of all ages to care for local wildlife and help them benefit from nature.

Story

We are a group of Year 2 children from a school in Bollington who are lucky enough to live in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.  We love the woodlands, the meadows, the rivers, the streams and the canal that are part of our extended playground...

But we know that nature and our countryside are in trouble because of the climate emergency and loss of biodiversity which people have caused over the years!

We want to help fix these problems so that we can still have a happy time and protect the wildlife around us.  We need nature and nature needs us!

So we are going to walk the furthest distance we have ever walked - just over 16 miles - all the way from Bollington to Marple and back in one day to raise some money for the Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

The Cheshire Wildlife Trust does a brilliant job caring for nature reserves and helping local landowners to manage their land for wildlife.  They also help look after wildlife and campaign for the better protection of nature.

We would love you to sponsor us....please help us to make a BIG change!

Thank you!
