Year 6 Boys Sleepout for SASH · 14 May 2019

We help young people aged 16-25 in York, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We do this thanks to a network of 'hosts' who have a spare room and who have been recruited and trained to accommodate a young person who is vulnerable.

Story

Inspired by a PSHE lesson at school about the impact of homelessness on young people, the Year 6 boys decided to try to raise money and increase awareness of the problem in this area. As part of their Duke of Alne Challenge at school, they will be sleeping out in the village hall to raise money for SASH, a charity which helps young homeless people across Yorkshire.
