Yemen is in the grip of the world's worst humanitarian crisis

Already 85,000 children may have died of HUNGER in Yemen- how many of us have seen anyone die of hunger?? so imagine this for a moment while you read on...

Some 24 million need humanitarian aid out of the population of 29 million. And that was before Covid-19. Now imagine how this country and its people are feeling - War ravaged for the last 5 years, millions displaced and lost family members, no food, no help and slowly dying of hunger.

A brief history and importance of Yemen

Although many of us are aware of the significance of the land of Bilad Al-Sham (Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria in Islamic history, and the status they held in the eyes of the Prophet (saw), few of us know that Yemen also has historical importance.

The roots of the Arabs trace themselves back to Yemen. The tribe of Jurhum, a pure Arab tribe from Yemen, are the ones who settled in Makkah. The Prophet Isma’il married two women from them and learnt Arabic, archery and horse riding from them. Eventually, the Quraysh descended from them, the tribe of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). Even the Ansar of Madinah were originally from the Yemeni tribe of al-Azd, which travelled north following the flood of al-’Arim (34:16) in Yemen.
The fact that the Prophet (saw) himself descended from Yemen makes it a land of unique historical and Islamic importance

Hadith in Ahmad narrated by Jubair ibn Mut‘im says, ‘We were with the Messenger of Allah on a road between Makkah and MadÏnah and he said: The people of Yemen are on the verge of ascending upon you as if they are clouds. They are the best (people) on Earth.

The Prophet (saw) praised and blessed various Yemeni tribes and the people of Yemen and attributed his own blessed bloodline to them, stating, “I am Yemeni” [Ahmad] and “They are from me and I am from them” [Al-Bukhari]
On the authority of Abu Thawr Al-Fahmi who said :
‘We were with the Messenger of Allah one day and some Yemeni cloth was brought.
Then Abu Sufyan said, ‘May Allah curse this cloth and curse the one who made it!’ Then the Messenger of Allah said,“Do not curse them for indeed they are from me and I am from them.”’ [Al-Haithami]

Yemen was also the abode of many of the Messenger of Allah’s (s.a.w.) Sahabah. All of this in addition to the fact that Yemen has produced, and continues to produce, some of the greatest ‘ulama, mujtahidun, a’immah and awliya’ of this ummah.

On that Day, what will we say to the Prophet (saw) if we did nothing to end the suffering of his people? It is our responsibility to stand by them in their time of need, to make sure that the people he (saw) loved are provided with food, water and healthcare. Moreover, it is our duty to share this message with others, to raise awareness about the status of Yemen’s people in Islam and the hardships they are facing.

Please donate and share, everyone who has read this knows they can give £5 to help those who have nothing and just imagine the slow death they face due to hunger. We are blessed not to face this so it's our duty to help by donating and sharing. And do not forget to add gift aid

The money will go towards Food packs, clean water facilities, medicine, clothing, and shelter
