Al-Khair Foundation is a UK-based international NGO providing humanitarian support, international development and emergency aid in some of the world’s most deprived areas. As a leading Muslim charity, we also look to tackle issues in the UK as well, such as education and women’s empowerment.

Story

An estimated 2.3 million children under the age of 5 are currently suffering from acute malnutrition in Yemen. 400,000 of these children are suffering from severe acute malnutrition and could tragically die if they do not receive urgent treatment. COVID-19 has already spread rapidly in the country, Yemen is trying to grapple with widespread food shortages whilst fighting the devastating pandemic.

More than five years of conflict has deepened Yemen’s poverty, devastated its infrastructure, and caused widespread hunger and suffering. The Yemen crisis is getting worse, day by day.

The donations will help teams in Yemen deliver urgently needed food, medicines and medical supplies. Your donations will help save lives in Yemen.

Million have been displaced and the economy is on the brink of collapse. The greatest need for the 2.3 million children under the age of 5 who are currently suffering from acute malnutrition in Yemen arises because hospitals are no longer functioning; more than 20 million people are food insecure and 40% of children are not in school. The vulnerable communities of Yemen are in desperate need of help.
