Story
[EDIT]: I wanted to re-open the fundraising in light of World Pancreatic Cancer Day, which is celebrated on November 19th every year. We're also coming up to the second anniversary of my Dad's death on November 26th. As always your generosity is much appreciated and it really means the world. Thank you.
[EDIT]: I'm fundraising again. My Dad would have turned 58 next week, on the 31st of July.
There's no denying that the coronavirus pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. Unfortunately, many people have lost loved ones — so they will understand mine and my family's pain — while others have seen their earnings slashed or find themselves unemployed.
I know times are tough but if there's any way you can donate, please do. If you can't donate, please share this campaign. I can guarantee that every single donation will make a huge difference — because that's the thing: pancreatic cancer doesn't discriminate and patients (and their loved ones) are still fighting a battle that's become increasingly harder as a result of COVID-19.
Thank you,
Yessi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My amazing Dad would have turned 57 today, on the 31st of July.
He passed away from pancreatic cancer 8 months ago, after fighting the disease for 16 months. Although he didn't make it, he was one of the lucky ones. He received excellent medical care from a dedicated team at the Royal Marsden, he had a huge support network of family and friends, and he fought like an absolute champion. Over the past several months, I've read about many people who were far less fortunate.
In all honesty, I knew cancer was cruel, ruthless, debilitating, all-consuming, but I didn't realise just how much of a beast it is until I saw it first hand.
For all these reasons – and many more – I would be eternally grateful if you helped me honour his memory with your donations. Ironically, my Dad would have hated being the centre of attention, but I know he would have been proud about the money going to such a worthy cause. My Dad was a good man, one of the best, and he's missed every day.
The donations will go to Pancreatic Cancer UK – a charity working tirelessly to promote awareness about this beast of a disease.
