The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

On the evening of Thursday 14 November we put our beautiful 16 month old boy to bed as usual, told him we loved him, and kissed him goodnight.  He didn’t wake up the next morning – he went to sleep and will never wake up.  We are heartbroken.  Although it seems that Yianni would not have suffered, which is a small comfort to us, he will never grow up.   He will not have a first day at school, play in his first football match, or experience many of the firsts that a full, happy, and long life should bring.

Unfortunately we are not alone in experiencing the sudden loss of our little boy.  Over 250 families per year experience a similar tragedy in England and Wales.

In Yianni’s memory we are raising funds for the Lullaby Trust (formerly FSID).  This organization supports research into sudden unexpected death in children, provides preventative advice to parents, and offers bereavement support services for families impacted by the sudden death of their babies.

Please give what you can - we know that your donation will help to give all babies a chance of a lifetime.
