Story
The news from Israel seems to go from bad to worse. Still, I believe in hope, and that hope is about a shared society, where all residents of Israel live in equality, acceptance and mutual respect. I know this may sound like a fantasy, but in the long run - it is the only viable future. So, for the long run..
For my birthday, I decided to run the Leicester marathon (http://www.leicestermarathon.org.uk/) and use this as an opportunity to raise funds (and awareness) for the work of the Abraham Fund Initiatives - http://www.abrahamfund.org/. Come run with me, literally or by supporting my cause.
Now in its third decade, The Abraham Fund is focused on those public policy and institutional changes required in order to create an inclusive and just Israeli society. This going-forward strategy – described as "advocacy through action" – is based on an understanding that The Abraham Fund's program initiatives serve as working models rather than ends in themselves; laboratory tools and incubators in service of advancing an agenda of inclusive public policies and institutional reforms.
