Story
Those of you who know us well know we are no strangers to donning our boots and getting out on the hills in our local area of Holmfirth. One such day when our walk had finished (as it often does) in the local hostelry we mooted the idea of the Yorkshire 3 peaks, a challenge that seemed tough, yet achievable for us. So on the 16th September 2017 we will do just that! As the date gets closer I feel less sure about the achievable and apprehensive about the challenge ahead.
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition of the central nervous system that once diagnosed has no current cure. It can affect people both physically and mentally and has an active research program to look for cure and support sufferers - for more information see here: https://www.mssociety.org.uk/our-research-story/how-your-money-is-spent
MS is an illness that has affected friends and family of people in our group so is a cause we want to support and help drive us round the 25 miles and 5,200ft of ascent across the 3 peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
We thank you all for your support, from the 8 of us and Pepper the dog (we are leaving the kids at home for this one!)
